Why don't I get matches on dating apps?

Hello, i'm jordy. I'm 24. Single and having a bit of trouble in my mind. I've been out looking for girls to date or to getting to know a bit better. But it just doesn't work for me. I don't think i'm that bad looking ( i do lots of sport and my appearance is quite important for me and i'm not introverted but not extroverted also. If you know what i mean 😅) but it's almost impossible for me to get to know new girls or even date girls. I've tried tinder, bumble and fb dating and on 2 of those dating apps i don't even get likes. Once in a while i would get a match but that doesn't happen verry often. And most of the times it's a girl that i'm not interested in. I just liked them on the app just because i know there wouldn't come anything from that. On my profile i have a little bit info about me. I keep it light and sometimes i would put a little joke or something stupid in it. And i have like 6 pics of me. I just don't understand what a girl looks for in a dating profile. I think that my profile is decent. Not perfect but i thought with how my profile looks that i would get a couple of matches. I'm not looking for a model but just a normal girl next door would be perfect for me. This just gives me sometimes the feeling that i'm so alone (yes, i have friends 😉) and that nobody is interested in me to know me better. It's a hard feeling to have.

Dating apps do you know anything about programming? Well simply put you can structurize things in way where u get nothing.
Nothing wrong with you its just business for them. They are there to force desperate guys to pay money.
Similarly how casinos work they have 51% win rate and anyone else who comes in have left with 49% you automatically lose for life to play that game.
Dont bet on dead horse. Dating apps are pretty much dead horse for guys.
You have better chances being creepy in club than dating apps.

So, what i'm understanding by most of the guys here. Is that dating apps are mostly a waste of time. For guys at least. It's better just to go out and meet someone there.

I tried tinder and got some matches wanted to just practice some chatting, but even for that purpose it didn't work, cus most dont even reply. Not even talking about actually meeting up, just to then also be dissapointed cus she looks "different" in person. When that happened i quickly realized its absolute waste of time.

Yeah, that happened also to me. I get a match and then they just don't answer or it takes ages for them to reply.

You probably come off as boring which you might be. Girls are using guys as option to have fun so like over the top fun. My opinion is go to therapy and tackle your problems like those deep rooted ones. Why is the way you look sooo essential to you? Depends whats on your profile. Stick to 3 pics that were taken in the last 6 months.

Actually fill out your profile. (you're an ambivert) just put a little about your profile and lifestyle and what type of relationship you're looking for.

Most women dont match blank profiles nor shirtless pics unless you happen to be in a swimsuit

You're either bad a selling yourself, not interested in those who are interested in you, or you're unattractive.

Aren't those the typical reasons to not get a match?

Instead of asking us, who know nothing about you, your bio, or your pictures, maybe ask your friends instead?

Yeah, that's what i'm thinking too. I've changed my profile a few times. But the matches don't really come. For me it just easier to ask there. Because if i ask this at my friends i'm really confronted with this. But to be honest, it does make me sad sometimes just to know that nobody wants to know something about me.

Then maybe your bio doesn't make it interesting to want to know about you.
You might be confronted by it... which I don't understand? But it's the only way you can get the help that's personal to you and might be helpful. They know your good sides, and they can tell you if there's something off about the profile.
