Is it wrong to stay close friends with a kind woman from my past?

I’ve know this girl since middle school. She was always really nice to me in school. She’s also a really kind person as well. I’m 35 and she’s 36. We stayed connected on social media. Every now and then one of us will reach out and comment on each other’s story or post. She even told me what town she lives in and that’s all hidden on her facebook and instagram accounts. She also works at some modeling company in NY. Women rarely keep in contact with me. I’ve actually thought about asking her to hangout in the past but I don’t want to take advantage of her being nice.

How could that be seen as wrong in any way? There is no need to cut ties with people that you were once close with. It is nice that you have remained in contact for that long and not something that happens often. I would not give it up if it were me.

I definitely consider myself lucky to have a similar friendship with someone that I grew up with. Naturally it isn't as old as your friendship but important nonetheless.

Haha it is. Seems like no body wants to keep in touch anymore. I’ve even tried with my cousins in another state and they couldn’t be bothered.

I know what you mean. I lost touch with some friends from high school when we scattered to different colleges and universities. I have two left that I keep very close contact with.

I believe that friends that stay in touch care the most.
