Is my best guy friend maneuvering us into unofficial dates?

One of my best guy friends subtly asked me to go on a cruise. He talked me into it and we both went and he was acting all nervous and preening himself and wanting us to catch the bus home together. Today, he surprised me with an extra chat today, after we’d talked last night. We were talking about what we were up to. Similar to what happened with the cruise, I somehow ended up planning to meet up with him for a picnic and a walk, after he immediately commented on how bored he was at home this weekend.

I don’t have time to actually be in a committed relationship with anyone until I finish my tafe course and he agrees. Both times, I came out of it feeling like I was manoeuvred into something.

Enjoy your time together. Obviously you are ok spending time with this guy….
And why do you (and others) say you don’t have time to date when you are going out with this guy already. You obviously do have time. When you date someone you there isn’t a set number of times you have to go out. I am dating someone right now we only see each other about once every other week.
Yes it appears he likes you and wants to spend time with you…. Push him away and he will find a new best friend and you’ll lose out.

Maneuver him into all your friends showing up on your “date,” or better yet, get all your guy friends to show up. So suddenly his picnic has 11 extra guys at it. Hope he brought enough potato salad...

Just how many "best friends" do you have?

I was always under the belief that you only ever have One Truly Exceptional Best Friend... The rest would simply be just friends or acquaintances.

Well so am I, but I can only truly count just One Best Friend, who we grew up together through our school years, was one of my bridesmaids at my wedding, and is now Godmother to both our children.

I don’t know how I got so many best friends, only that there are 6 people I came across in life at different stages that I’m equally close to.
