Middle aged men dating 18 year old boys and girls so they can control and groom them is common and ignored.

If that was my kid, I'd get in his face and tell her he's a predator and a pedo. he'd back off quick.

I am quite happy with whatever age of consent you choose so long as - seeing they cannot make adult decisions about sex - they have voting rights and alcohol drinking rights stripped till the same age at which they become adult to do all three.

I live in SE Asia and I see guys in their 70s dating 18 year olds. Middle aged men dating teenagers is almost age appropriate where I live and most parents here would approve of that age gap. It only bothers me how dumb some of the old guys here are when complain that the young girls are immature and are only after their money but they refuse to date someone more age appropriate. The young girls here are the predators and they know what they're doing and their parents approve.

Nope. People over 18 can make their own choices. They are entitled to do what they want.
The only people who are bothered are their protective, patriarchal parents.

Just because one person is older doesn't mean they are "grooming" the younger one any more than someone their own age is grooming them.

No because Legally, adults can make their own decisions. But socially, people are always going to raise eyebrows because the difference in maturity and power almost always favors the older person

Legal is legal. I wouldn’t date an 18 year old girl because emotionally she isn’t stable. But 18 can date an 80 year old if she wants. That’s her business.
