Why are dating apps filled with crazy people?

I've been on dating apps on and off over the past 5 years. 90% of these people are either losers or really weird crazy people. It's just been such a horrifying experience. Just can't seem to find anyone normal on these apps. Have you had the same experience?

I think dating apps are a good reflection of the people out there in the world. We're all on dating apps with the intention of either getting laid or finding a lifelong partner. Dating apps reflect the population of the people in the world. They're no different if you were to talk to them in person.

But ask yourself, what if I initiated? What if I was the one that had to impress? Women tend to think men are cringe because they don't do any initiating themselves. They also expect men to carry conversations without putting anything into the conversations themselves. If you try to see things from mens perspectives when engaging with them and show a little empathy, you might find that it's less cringeworthy.

Men don't have lower standards than women. I get rejected the same way

Psychology says we generally do overall. When it comes to marriage, we have around the same standards but value different traits.

But when it comes to initial standards, most men have much lower standards than women.

A lot of people you meet outside irl are like that too, you just can’t see it because they don’t have a presentation or messages you can read. Also, those people would probably be overrepresented on dating apps because they’re likely struggling to find partners.

I've used it very rarely and I would never want to use such things now. Yes, I'm alone, but dating sites are full of weird and perverted men. No one ever uses it for a serious relationship.

They are crazy; hence, they are on dating apps. Quality people don't need or use dating apps.

Have not tried one, but that is what I would expect. They are *mostly* for people who have been unsuccessful finding dates other ways, so there is probably a reason.
