And since dating apps are entirely dependent on people’s behavior towards one another sometimes it can be a “stupid” experience


But the app itself is nothing but a tool. It doesn’t decide for you one way or the other


Many people have found success on dating apps.


Last fairytale wedding I went to was a friend who married a girl he met on tinder like 6 years prior. They’re still going strong now 4 years into the marriage.


I myself have gotten laid quite a few times on the apps. It’s what I was looking for at the time and so I got it


But I also know people who struggle and get rejected and ghosted and ignored


The same app can be two different things depending on how you use it

No, dating apps are not stupid. Some of the people that use them are, but others are not.

I knew someone who used to work for the OK Cupid site. He would laugh about how people get so easily sucked in by dating apps. The chances of meeting someone are 1% or less.

The main issue with the apps is the algorithm is always shite, because disliking will remove you from being shown. The apps need to be set up like a search engine where you type in key words and have removable key words[things you don't want to see]. Using a search engine UI gives way more accurate showings of those you are interested in.

I don't think that the idea is stupid.. Just the way it's been executed and slimey over the years.. But I do think they are generally a waste of time..

I'd even argue the ", fake or misleading profiles" and users have gotten worse, on dating apps.
Hell, you hear so many horror stories in the news from the simple down to the deranged - scary
