If you someone has a history of problematic, unsuccessful relationships, are they to blame?

You meet someone who is complaining non stop about their exes. He acts like all his exes were the problem, not him. Loves airing his grievances out for the world to see. Don't you think he might be the problem since he's the common denominator out of all his bad relationships? People learn how to pick better after a disastrous relationship but apparently not everyone learns from their mistakes
