Do you think people are picker in dating today than 30 years ago?

Consumption society want to consume. Degradation of people in dating market to consumer products is clearly noticeable.
Honestly I don't know how it was 30 years ago but it think people are just focused what they want and barely aware what they realistically offer or they try to sell the imaginary idealized version of themselves as a premium product.
I think this is partially effect of marketing strategies dating sites use to lure customers. This could be different than 30 years ago, but I maybe I'm wrong.

No, just more insecure and immature.

Possibly, as social media can make it look like rich and beautiful people are everywhere.
