19 dHaving kids is a lot of responsibility. And it’s no secret that a child ideally needs both a man and woman role model in their development.
There are many examples of children developing social issues when lacking or having poor examples of male or female role models05 Reply
Asker19 dkamala harris, barack obama, JD vance, elon musk all grew up without fathers.

You’re incorrect about Elon. His parents divorced and he chose to live with his father
Asker19 d@danny_dan92
bill clinton also spent most of his childhood without a father either.
Asker19 dwe have a white house filled with the most powerful people in the world who grew up without fathers. i think it's time to stop talking shit about kids raised by single moms
Asker19 dA google search also shows president george washington also grew up without a father. So Did andrew jackson

Anonymous(25-29)18 dThat doesn't seem like a good idea. Children need a lot of care and attention. There being only one parent is only beneficial when the 2nd parent sucks. You might be able to pull it off of you make enough money, but than people you hire are raising your children.

Asker18 dIn my culture, grandparents take care of their grand children. So I won't need to hire anyone
Opinion Owner16 dMy parents provide help for my sister, but both parents are active. I still think it's important both parents are active in their children's lives.
Asker16 dactually barack obama, kamala harris, JD vance, andew jackson, president george Washington, bill Clinton were all raised by single moms.
I think it's time to stop shitting on kids raised by single moms. there is plenty of proof they can succeed in life.
Opinion Owner16 dAll of those people, beside Washington, aren't exactly people I would look up to.
Asker16 dwell because you have a bad taste in presidents. No matter how much you look down on them, they will always be a million miles higher than you.
Opinion Owner16 dVance, Obama, and Clinton don't belong in the same category as presidents like George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, or Abraham Lincoln. Just because some obtains power, doesn't mean he is deserving of it. Are you saying Mao Zedong and Stalin are people to look up to?
Asker16 ddoesn't matter if you look up to them or not.
their single mothers raised very successful children.
much more successful than you.
Opinion Owner16 dIt's all about statistics. All I'm saying is that it is better for both parents to be present, statistically. Statistically, this is true. There are obviously outliers. If one parent is a crackhead, obviously the other partner separating will be beneficial to the child. Statistically, a single father does better than a single mother. I'd still prefer a mother in the picture.
Asker16 d@opinion owner
you don't need a father in the picture to succeed and there is plenty proof of that.
the reason why general statistics show that kids don't do as well in single mother households is because these homes are usually under poverty. Dual income households don't tend to be as poor which is why kids do better.
Bill Clinton, barack obama, kamala harris, JD vance weren't raised by poor single mothers under poverty. they were raised middle class which was why they did so well.
Opinion Owner16 dYou are ignoring my point. It facilates success. A child will always be better off with two good parents as apposed to just one. I don't like Vance, but he wasn't raised in the middle class. Have you not heard of Hillbilly Elegy? I could refute your point with an abundent amount of successful people raised by two parents.
Asker16 d@opinion owner
success has nothing to do with having two parents. Studies have shown that gay and lesbian parents tend to raise kids that do better in school. I can show you the study if you want. why? because lesbian and gay parents tend to be able to afford IVF and reproductive technologies to have those kids... which means that gay and lesbian parents tend to be more financially stable than heterosexual parents.

New study indicates children raised by same-sex parents perform better at school

Asker18 dand what makes you think a woman who can afford to pay for expensive sperm bank and IVF would qualify for food stamps?
