If I was into dating or even looking for a partner, he should have a number of qualities. To me, the most important things about a person, regardless whether this person is to date, to talk to or just to be with are:
- Character
- Intellect
- Personality
- Charisma
- Responsible
- Humor
- Caring
- Open mind
- Being respectful of others, animals and nature
- Not selfish
- Altruism
- Honesty
- Humble
- Generosity
- Simplicity
- Kindness
- Smart
- Empathy
- Positive attitude
- Assertiveness
- Body hygiene
That pretty much summarizes what I would be seeking in another person if I were so desperate as to want to date.
What I am not interested the least are looks, cult of the personality, physique, height, weight and for those that are so worried about that small detail, the size of their penile appendage. That is absolutely not relevant to me.
I agree with most of this. Looks might catch your attention initially, but character and personality are what make you stay. For me, emotional maturity, loyalty, a good sense of humour, and being able to communicate openly matter a lot. I also think chemistry is important because you can meet someone who ticks every box on paper but still feel no connection. Ideally, it's a combination of physical attraction, mutual respect, and that feeling of being able to be completely yourself around someone. Nobody is perfect, but having the right values and being willing to grow together makes all the difference.
His brain. Looks matter too, but it doesn't compensate for stupidity
Looks create some initial interest but that alone isn't worth getting serious with someone. They have to have the right personality to fit with mine.
His juicy soul. Next morning he looks like a 90 yo. gray man who has barely a life fluke in him. Then I know I did my job well. 😈
A little bit of looks and a whole lot of personality.
Personality. Looks means nothing if they're ugly on the inside.
