Boyfriend texting an ex hookup, should I be worried?

can it ever be innocent when your boyfriend is texting an ex hookup? they are texting like all day, just chatting about nothing... I don't want to confront him or overreact if it's nothing but it really has me worried.

How did you know your boyfriend was texting his ex all day? You asked him and he told you or you found out by yourself(like checked his phone or something like that)? If you asked him and he told you honestly, I think there is very less chance that you should be concerned. Also I think you may want to tell him how you feel about it, if he cares about you, he will stop doing something that bothers you.

he texts her in front of me (like his phone will pop up saying text from Molly). sometimes his phone will be by me and he'll hear it vibrate and be like can you pass me my phone, and when I hand it to him it's lit up saying he has a text from her. so he's not trying to hide that they are talking, because if he was wouldn't he just keep his phone on him? but I've never actually seen what any of the messages say

Then ask him something like what you guys were talking about all day? anything fun? can I know? maybe he wants some attention which you didn't give him enough, you can show a little bit jealousy( just a little bit!), don't make it a big deal but it could be something if you just let it be. Yes, I'd be concerned. The only relationship they had was hooking up. Why now are they talking? Goodness I'd go crazy knowing he's doing that! I'd ask him if you should be worried. He'll probably say "no not at all" but if he doesn't look into your eyes to reassure you... I'd be worried.

I wouldn't like it... It would be different if she was an ex and they became friends after breaking up...but there is NO need to text all day a girl he just hooked up with.

It is unacceptable to me, and even more if he has less time to give you because he's texting another girl...

It could ONLY be 2 things. HE needs an ego boost so he chats it up with her and brings up how cool it was etc. Just to have her get horny and him feel good that he's "still got it." Or, he wants to f*** her again...
