Please be honest.

Who would you rather date/go out with?

I'm talking about myself here of course, I used to prefer videogames and spending time home or just somewhere nice and quiet over partying, drugs, having X number of (usually fake or temporary) friends and hook ups.

I know that made me less experienced and more awkward, but I think I got over that (the awkward thing), partially at least, I'm still my little old shy me (and I still take an interest in videogames and stuff like that, just not as much as back then when I was younger).

I only wonder whether I should be honest with guys I go on dates with (when I actually go on a date lol) and tell them how much introverted I used to be, or whether I should rather keep my mouth shut?

I'm an ambivert now. I like to go out but only with people worth the time.

21 year old Black girl here. Throughout most of my life I've been mostly attracted to other Black girls, but also really anyone with darker skin. They didn't necessarily have to be EXACTLY as dark as me, but someone you can look at and say like "yes they're a shade of brown or tan, looks like they could tan easily" and not "yes they're completely pasty white and pale, looks like they'll just burn easily." Which to me normally meant I wasn't attracted to White girls, unless they were biracial/mixed and therefore not completely White anyway.

However... more or less recently, I realized that with TANNED White girls it's a completely different story. I first realized this with one of my White friends who in the winter was completely pale like a stereotypical Goth who avoids the sun at all costs, but in the summer suddenly gained a beautiful golden brown tan like a stereotypical preppy girl who absolutely loves pools and beaches. My physical attraction to her went from I kid you not: basically 0 to 100. It's not like she looked bad when she was very pale, she was in fact still very pretty, she just didn't do anything for me. But with her skin a beautiful golden brown color... oh yes. She just looked so... for the lack of better words, "HOT." Like someone who isn't afraid to go out and run around in the sun.

Since then I've tried to see if this was something exclusive to just my friend, or just a general thing... and it turned out to be a general thing. Whenever I saw a completely pale White girl, no attraction... an at least slightly tanned one though? Oh boy...

There's nothing wrong with completely pale skin, and I realize tanning can be quite unhealthy, especially if extreme... but it's just a physical attraction thing.

I attached 3 pictures to show the type of thing I mean. As you can see, none of the 3 women are COMPLETELY pale. They all seem to obviously get some sun. Good view of the thighs too. Not just a tan face and arms.

I just signed up for this dating website called Amolatina. But you have to pay to talk to these people. I get bombarded with messages from there and I'm kinda iffy. Especially since a lot of them are from South America lol. It's like in order to send or receive messages, you have to pay $19.99, and then if you want the exclusive package, in which more features are available to you it's $120.

I feel like people there, maybe they even WORK at that website lol. It's tempting, but I am not so sure these are LEGIT! And with long-distance, there's no way you can prove or disprove that they are really who they say they are, or they aren't cheating, etc. That's what hard about these things! Tempting but..

I one arm completely covered,(and two on my leg) I'm 20 so it's pretty young to have this many. They are good quality tattoos and all well thought out. I really like them and I think they suit me. I just started dating a guy and he seems to be in-between about them.

So how do you feel about them?

I think it shows a lack of manners. Am I making a big deal over nothing or is he probably a selfish pig?

I’m dating a guy 25 years older than I am. He is scared to remarry because he was married to someone for 28 years.

I think it’s funny how hairy arm pits in general tend to freak people out

A lot of people do remain friends with their exes but if someone decides to cut ties or not remain friends or even have contact with an ex, is it because there are still lingering feelings? Or is it because they wanted to move on?

generally is it a good idea to remain friends with exes?

ps - I personally cut contact with my ex because it wouldn’t be fair to my current partner who’s serious about me and secondly things didn’t go so well

I waited for almost 4 years for him to go back to school to get a financially stable job. After all these years. He’s still working minimum wage and 30 years old. I’m in my early 20s and working towards my career goal. I want us both to be financially stable but at this point, I feel like I’m wasting my time on a man who has no ambition. Is it too harsh to give him until June to do something about it? I don’t want to wait any longer tbh. 4 years is already long enough.

28F, I don’t think my standards are that unreasonable. I think I have a decent idea of how most people perceive me, with that being said I feel I should be able to attract the kind of guy I’d want. Cute looks, tall, smart, decent job, good sense of humor etc. The last time I saw someone was when I was 23 & it felt like settling which is why I refuse to ever see someone like that again. If you’re in a relationship now, did you hold those standards or have to compromise/settle because you couldn’t find what you really wanted?
