Dyslexia, ADD and how it shaped my life.

I was like every other kid in school. I had homework and I did it but I learned differently. Someone told my mother that what I have does not exist or along those lines. Others thought I would not make it very far. I officially graduated from Neumann University in December of 2015 and walked in 2016.

I was like every other student on the outside but my brain works differently. Neurons fire but along the line, there is something that happens and it has to find another way to the end. I'm not stupid my brain just takes a bit longer and I tend to take my time.

I went to a special private school to learn in a way that would help me with other students similar to me. I learned in ways that I could understand that may seem odd to some others but it worked and here I am today. I hold a normal job and work just as hard as everyone else. I pay student loans and I can drive.

I want to talk about Dyslexia itself though. Some think it's all general and all the same for everyone and it's not. I do not see words backwords and yes b and d can be hard sometimes. What I have another person may not. Some cases are more severe then others also or some have more learning problems than others. We are no less smart than other people are in the world. Some very smart people have been Dyslexic also.

ADD for me seems to have gotten better over time. I learned how to handle it and over time I naturally also calmed down with age.

I still have trouble paying attention at times but I can pull myself away from things much more easily. I'm a rather normal person all around, to be honest.

I am willing to answer questions if people have them.
