What is the most useful thing you've learned at school or university?

1) Truth comes from authority
2) Intelligence is the ability to remember and repeat
3) Accurate repetition and memory are rewarded
4) Non compliance is punished
5) Conform: intellectually and socially
6) The only thing you learn in a course (any course) is how to pass the course. It does not prepare you to do the job

Formal writing. Everything else has come and gone, however I always need to write in a professional manner and it has also translated into other skills. Essentially, formal writing is the only useful thing I learned in college.
