In my case, yes, though it's not a direct correlation. With more money, I'd assume there'd be more success. I'd feel confident that what I'm doing in general works. I probably wouldn't have to work so hard for each job. I'd have an easier time of marketing. But up to a point. then it'd probably be more stressful, if I had too much work that I couldn't have the free time to take vacations once in a while, or pay bills, or clean my place. Yeah, I could have someone come in and do it for me. But if I was always traveling, always working, I'd probably get burnt out fairly quickly. The trick would be to market myself to higher end clients, earn more per show, put that into attracting other clients, etc.

Somewhat indirectly. More money wouldn't make me enjoy the job more (it'd make me enjoy my time outside the job more) but often accompanied by a pay raise is a greater sense of respect and value as an employee by members of that company even without a change in title. They tend to treat you more like a VIP, so to speak, rather than someone easily replaceable, if only because they're paying you more. It's kind of odd since I could see a case where the fact that they're paying you more will make them demand more from you, but far more often I see it like they pay you more and start to value you and your opinions more.
More money doesn't make a bad job better; it just means you're being paid more for your suffering...
With that being said, I actually tolerate my job. So more money would not only make me like it more, but I'd probably work harder and better to show my worth!
Now if you were referring to my previous position where I hated my boss and coworkers? I'd still hate my job. They would just be paying me more to put up with toxicity, discrimination, and drama. I'd be miserable, but making more money... big difference.
I'm currently between jobs, but at my last job, we got hazard pay during the pandemic and that meant we were paid double time. When I saw that first DT paycheck hit I wondered why I had ever agreed to work for anything less lol
The extra pay was awesome. I used it for boring things like getting out of debt and building up an emergency fund, but it was still very nice.

Listen this is what we need. Full pay @ 34 hours a week. Europe does it just fine and it's time we stop letting corporate america walk all over us. We can't cultivate meaningful relationships working 60+ hours a week. I want to be there for my wife and kids, not slaving away. My wife should get 6 months PAID maternity leave. I should also get at least half that as the man so the baby can bond with both of us and I can help her get around in the beginning and make sure she and the baby are cared for. This is how humans always were. The man helped the woman while she was incapacitated after childbirth. I'm so sick of us being treated like mindless robot slaves. We need to demand this! Also $20 minimum wage and ALSO a proper raise for everyone about that minimum wage. How is it Denmark can pay McDonald's workers $22 an hour and give them full benefits? Smaller profit margins for large corporations, more for the average worker. Elon Musk doesn't NEED to be sending all those rockets into space. But people at the bottom NEED a chance to be parents to their kids!
A raise makes a job more worth the time being spent on it. It is a motivator. It can't make a job more enjoyable. You're still doing the same things you did before the raise. If you didn't enjoy doing them before, a raise won't make them any more fun, just less likely to question why you're spending so much of your time doing something unpleasant for so little reward.
I like my job because I can work at my own pace and do my best every day and I can choose to work the way I want to work which is to work hard but fair making sure to try my best all the time. I don't need a pay rise to verify how I feel. I would like to have a pay rise so I can have more money to save up every month so I can save towards the future I want to build but also I don't need a pay rise to survive I'm currently doing quite well for myself and I'm in a position where I'm earning enough to survive so hopefully I can start earning more money to be comfortable again.
No. This is a problem I've been having lately. I make almost as much passively as I do at my job now. Logically if I loved my job it would make sense to keep doing what I do, but I don't lol. But I can't bring myself to retire yet so young and the benefits are the only thing keeping me going lol.
No and yes. I mean yes beaue that way you can pay your bills and have more money t pay your debts and other stuff you need the money for but on the other hand if the working environment is miserable there and you are always stressful, no amount of money can make up for the mental health and the suffering from working in a terrible not enjoyable environment.
It never does. A pay raise feels good for about 5 minutes. It soon is forgotten and then it’s all about the day-to-day again. However If you have been frustrated angry and distracted because you feel you are owed a pay rise and you are not getting it, then finally getting the pay rise relieves that pressure / distraction.
Nah. I love my job so much. A pay raise is just icing on the cake.
Yes, of course. That would add a lot of motivation.
Money doesn't bring happiness. Them paying you more won't change the routine of your job description or the attitudes of your superiors. The only way that can make true is if you moved to a different dept. that is accompanied by an increase in pay. Along with a more bearable position.
I am currently a full-time Uber, Doordash and Instacart driver. I love the flexibility to take or refuse assignments by my preference and not because someone threatens me into action or face disciplinary issues. However, the drawback is that the pay per ride/order is relatively low. I plan to supplement this with Youtube. Law enforcement is the same way. I am a former CO and plan on becoming a cop. I love jobs where I can help others, but due to the low pay I'll still need to keep my side gigs.
No. My current job is a shit show. Im a forklift operator which is nice but a part of our storage space was demolished for renovation last year. We have no space left and we have to improvise like idiots to make it work.
I did get a pay raise because im basically multi tasking. Im a Warehouse manager and i mix cosmetics. Not at the same time obviously, but i have to know how to work both stations and the paperwork that goes with it. Got more pay but it's not enjoyable. The only thing that would make my job more enjoyable is if I didn’t have to deal with favoritism, if I was not scheduled for the same thing every single day (week after week/month after month/year after year), if my manager got fired. I’ve seen a lot of people do more than I did in months than I did in a freaking year
No! It's not the money. It can be the staff you are working with, it can be the boss and sometimes both. I had bad bosses before and i told them they were bad, all got mad and lost their companies and i just move on and find another job 🤷♂️
I would do this for free. The money is frosting on the cake
No, the job would still suck. I would just be more willing to put up with it.
I don't think it would make it more enjoyable just more tolerable.
Wouldn't make my job more enjoyable, but would help me enjoy the time outside of my job more!
Easy comparison: Does weight loss and muscle gain make workouts more enjoyable?
Hell yeah, gaining progress is addicting, that's why video games sell. I could use some more progress in my finances.I selected no. That was an accident. I have absolutely no idea why a pay raise wouldn't make my job more enjoyable. If I like my job and then they get more money for it why would I not enjoy that?
More money makes EVERY job more enjoyable. Money is the reason for it in the first place, right?
