Well I work and manage warehouses... I would tell them that company did not have proper racking and warehousing infrastructure in place to safely maintain, manage and store inventory.
And most likely I would be advising them of thise risk for some time prior to this incident.
Now if there was more available floor space and was not used... then its the floor managers ass.
In general without proper racking and storage system you never stack pallets more two high so it won't or should of happened in one of my warehouses.
I will just go away before my boss comes and then act that I'm confused and say, "Sir what happened here when I was at washroom?" lol. I will just say what actually happened because I don't want to risk by job by lying.
I tell him the truth, whatever it is, assuming I know what happened. If I don't know, I say "I really don't know what caused this mess. I'll find out if you want."

our box fort fell over. when jimmy comes back from working to break we will get the forklift and fix it. we were building a courtyard under the east box tower
