For me I have to have lessons. I know how to swim, the general movements are not lost upon me, but regardless I still sink. My body is incapable of still floating, so I need lessons to figure out a way to stay afloat11
I would have some friends or family teach you instead. doesn't seem important enough to pay money for but its your choice in the end. Dont feel ashamed, tons of adults can't swim.13

I think it's best to have lessons when you are learning to swim as an adult, but I'm not quite sure since I learnt to swim at a pretty young age.
Maybe you could watch a few lessons on youtube, and see if it would be too hard to learn on your own so then you can decide what is best for you.
I used to swim when I was younger, but now I've just lost confidence cos it's been so long.
Then maybe you could ask someone for help? Like someone from your family or some friend?
Once you learn how to swim you can't really forget it because it's procedural memory. It's like riding a bike. It's very likely that you will remember it immediately when you get in the water, but if it's been a really long period of not swimming take it slowly. Make sure someone is with you in the water when you practise. Just remember to relax and get rid of a fear if you have one. Everything should be fine.
Cute pic btw😁
Thank you 😆 I’m a selfie queen 🤪
Good luck with getting back into swimming! ☺️
Thanks, I'll let you know how it goes😁
