How do I stop my coworkers from getting bitchy and get on the same page?

We are short staffed at the moment and people are getting pissed off over any and every little thing. I work in a restaurant. I'm trying to get everyone to be on board and be a team player like me. But everyone is getting pissed over almost the least little stuff. It used to not be this way. How do I get them to calm down and try to play as a team?

maybe try this...

do it yourself as well, but exaggerate it... it would be fake of course, yell and get frustrated at every little thing that does not make sense, and then don't stop make sure everyone sees it too, and then keep going some more

eventually everyone will start looking at you and think, or say "what's up with that" that's stupid, that's annoying, that does not make sense!! you look ridiculous!!

but then, then will realize that it is exactly how all of them look like... and then they will stop with their own BS, and if they do not realize it then just tell them that's how they look like

There really isn’t anything you can do besides encouraging them to do the best they can do. But that is a lot harder to do when you are also trying to act it out.
