Resident at my job who has lewy body dementia muttered "No, I don't want to kill her." About me?

Anonymous
I started working three weeks ago at this administrative assistant position at a memory care senior living place. I work with mild dementia patients.

I work the front desk so I don't have to interact with the seniors unless they ask me a question. It's not in my job description to do anything for the elders.

We recently admitted this guy with lewy body dementia. He's over six feet, husky and he's hallucinating visually and auditory. For the most part he just stands around talking to himself and he's full of anxiety and he can't relax. He stands in a trance.

As I was closing for the night, he was around my front desk. I heard him mutter very quietly, "No, I dont want to kill her." I was the only one there next to him. Mind you I am 5'4 and I weigh 105. I am very small he could easily kill me.

I told my coworker about it. I texted her and she said it's just words and to not take it seriously. But if I really want to I can bring it up to my boss. If I make it known I'm uncomfortable to be around him I'm pretty sure they'll be on top of keeping him away from me. I told my parents and they're telling me to quit. Do you think I should quit?
