If its related to your job duties then yes. But there is a fine line been job related and harressment. Making you wear skin tight clothes as part of company image for marketing is probably ok. But telling you what underwear to wear is too much. Usually there will be general guidelines of do’s and donts like wear attractive athletic wear to look part, or in a office wear business casual attire. But asking a tilted kilts girl wear the skimpy outfit with makeup is part of the company image/theme.
At least the boss is straightforward about it. Whatever it's called in English - "job inspection" - these are the people to turn to. I'm not sure if the equivalent of this institution exists in the US, though. Technically, you are not sex workers, but sports instructors.
I'm not sure of the legality as hooters, twin peaks, strip clubs, etc all require a skimpy dress code so there must be some sort of loophole. I'd quit if you don't feel comfortable. The dude sounds like a slimebag and he'll get his comeuppance sooner or later.
There’s something to be said about the gym having for employees so it looks like it’s working. But to speak to you guys like that…is there HR there? The prostitution joke and demanding types of underwear is h believable
This is the luxury of owning a company, you can do whatever you like with the dresscode. If you don't like the rules then leave and search for another job that fits you better.
Surely you don't see the risk and the struggles people would actually face to start a company. If I asked you to start your own company, majority of the time I'll hear excuses
Yes you can decide for all the investments for all your assets, taxes you pay for the government, business liabilities and all the responsibilities you have, that's the price for all those risk they took. If you say it's unfair then try only accompany yourself and see how long you would last
You are totally overlooking my point 🙃 I'm just talking about dress code my guy. At one company it was a black dress blouse and at the other one a white t shirt. I have no clue what you are trying to prove to me.
That's because everything has reasons. It just proved how much you like to jump to conclusions without even analyzing the situation. Also what are you trying to prove by saying company owners are luxurious? To just rant and try to bring people down for something they deserved?
No the luxury is that you can make up the dress code. If you want the girls to wear bikinis behind the bar I think you can. Like bikini baristas have to wear bikinis. That's the whole concept. And that is the luxury you have as the boss.
Which is a right they earned. It's not even close to luxury because that still comes with responsibilities workers don't have. It's not even that easy. What else? They get bashed by SJWs by setting rules like that and they have to defend it. What's so luxurious about that? It just sound like if i say, those who just work have the luxury of not having to worry about those CEO stuff despite earning less.
I don’t agree that this should be the case. Enforcing that as work practices is wrong and sexist. Does he enforce such policies with male staff to bring in female clients? If the female employee chooses to dress in such a manner, that’s different, as ling as it didn’t breach policy. This amounts to sexual harassment and workplace bullying.

That is incredibly disrespectful. You should be there because you can help clients (male and female) achieve fitness results, not to be eye candy. Y'all should report his ass as he is discriminating against you in a work capacity for your sex.
My personal trainers are both women and I do not expect them to dress any kind of way. I hired them because they has proven they can get results for their clients.
It’s pretty much the same thing as hooters and those other restaurants where it’s only hot women who are servers plus at a gym it would make sense to wear that anyway
What😭 where tf did onlyfans come up. She said she has to wear stuff like that to bring in more guys which is exactly the same thing as what hooters does. What are you even talking about😭😭
Some people think because I have an OnlyFans page that I shouldn't be complaining about my boss. But posting some raunchy pictures on a page which I have control of how far I want to go is completely different to being over sexualised and pimped off by your boss so he can make money.
@ItsAimee You do realize that you have the freedom to walk away and say no at any moment, right? You're not obligated to do as he says. You can quit. So if you know that this is wrong and illegal, why are you still there? And why are some of your colleagues willingly allowing him to pimp them out?
Hooters do have written contract and dress code. Can't be sued.
The gym can be sued if they don't have a written contract dress code. She can get fired due to outside the dress code policy. Not fired from verbal dress code.
I mean almost every job has a uniform. If he thinks that's how their employees should dress for work it should be part of the rules of the company but the way he's addressing the situation is really disgusting.
My advice is to stop allowing the big business known as liberal politics to run your life. The actual business you work for is your boss's. As long as the men also have a dress code, then you are not being discriminated against.
I take a look at your profile picture and notice you sexualize yourself. Clearly this does not mean you have abjections to your sexualization, it’s the fact someone is profiting off your sexualization besides you that bothers you.

If your the boss you decide the rules and dress code right?
I'm not saying that starting a company is easy.

*Then try to make a company yourself
What do you do if an employee? You only work and get paid and if you don't like the job then quit.
You are totally overlooking my point 🙃

Gosh you are stupid

But I bet your boss at hooters isn't trying to pimp you off to customers everyday. That's what I'm faced with.
Hooters and onlyfans are nothing like the gym little boy
now go back to playing as quagmire on family guy
What😭 where tf did onlyfans come up. She said she has to wear stuff like that to bring in more guys which is exactly the same thing as what hooters does. What are you even talking about😭😭
Other people have mentioned OF
Yeaaa I didn’t say anything about onlyfans
Some people think because I have an OnlyFans page that I shouldn't be complaining about my boss. But posting some raunchy pictures on a page which I have control of how far I want to go is completely different to being over sexualised and pimped off by your boss so he can make money.
I didn’t even know you had an onlyfans
For people saying it is illegal, how is this any different from a women who work at hooters?
Because hooters girls aren't being prostitued to clients for more money.
Your employer is making you sleep with clients at the gym?
Yes! He makes us do it so he can make more money!
@ItsAimee First you said he joked about it. Now you're saying he makes you do it. So which is it?
He hasn't to me personally but he has done to a couple of my colleagues.
@ItsAimee You do realize that you have the freedom to walk away and say no at any moment, right? You're not obligated to do as he says. You can quit. So if you know that this is wrong and illegal, why are you still there? And why are some of your colleagues willingly allowing him to pimp them out?

That is most def illegal. You should talk to a lawyer and maybe sue him for lots of money.
Unless this is clearly stated in your written contract, then of course this isn't legal.
My advice is to stop allowing the big business known as liberal politics to run your life. The actual business you work for is your boss's. As long as the men also have a dress code, then you are not being discriminated against.
What if the blacks and the whites have different dress codes?
Because I view discriminating against a gender as pretty much the same as against a race
@hostboy__fastestlaps So you think gender and race are the same thing? Let's not leave common sense at the door when you walk into the courts, ok?
Ok boomer
@hostboy__fastestlaps Yeah ok resort to name-calling because you didn't learn how to form an argument when you were being raised by Minecraft.
I didn't know anyone was offended by the term boomer. I'm so sorry
Depending on where you live it may or may not be legal. Especially the part about regulating what underwear you can wear.
If you’re not comfortable there, then gtfo. Gyms are supposed to be wholesome, not a strip club or hooters 😑
If you dont liie it, definitely leave. Its like going to Hooters or a strip club and getting upset about the uniform.
Hooters has been doing it for decades.
Sounds like you should have your resume out there. Find something else.
'I have an OnlyFans which is actually bringing in 3 times more per month than what my gym pay check does'
So she is ok sexulising herself to make a profit...
Sexualising and borderline prostitution are two very different things.
I take a look at your profile picture and notice you sexualize yourself. Clearly this does not mean you have abjections to your sexualization, it’s the fact someone is profiting off your sexualization besides you that bothers you.
No it's not illegal, but you would never be able fire someone for not wearing it in Europe. Dresscodes like this doesn't hold up in court.
