Amy this is not Chinese, this is Japanese. A way you can tell is that Japanese includes wavy or simple characters like あいうえおかきくけこさしょすせそ in their sentences while Chinese only contains complex character like 我存在意義不有
Thanks Andrew. I saw that some of the Korean characters are also like that--some of them look like them. But then, Korean is the only language that comes closest to Japanese.
Japanese and Korean are pretty easy to distinguish. It just takes some exposure to the languages. Also Korean has spaces in-between the words. I agree that they are fairly similar, at least in grammar and some word pronunciation. I've been studying japanese since October of 2021. I don't speak it since I don't practice that, but I have an intermediate level of comprehension and understanding and can read manga and watch anime in Japanese. I know over 3000 words.
Andrew, I have been learning Chinese since the fall of 2021. I was bored from staying home so I thought it was a good idea to learn a new language. But I really wanted to learn Japanese. It was not offered online where I live, but Chinese was. I have seen Midnight Diner on Netflix, so good! I learned a few words in Japanese. I have also seen Korean novellas on Netflix. Love, Marriage, and Divorce; and My Secret Romance, both Korean. I learned the words for "yes" (deh?) and what sounds like cronika (which I think means exactly or of course). But yes Korean and Japanese are similar because of the history of those two nations.
The thing about language learning is that, systematic or structured institutions like that of a course or school are not very good at helping a learner aquire a language, what you've been doing (watching things in the language that you want to know) however, is very good! Immersion is the best way to aquire a language, so you can cut the middle man which would be any program, and start immersing, I also highly recommend a program called Anki for learning vocabulary.
Thanks, that is true. I love the novellas because some are funny. I have an app on my cell called Hello CHinese, and I can say I've progressed a lot since I began using it. Thanks again!
As I am Indian, its like a mandatory condition to know multiple languages because of how diverse Indian culture is, I know Hindi, Marathi and Malayalam in Indian languages. Other languages include fluent English and a little bit of german.
Good job, you’ve a talent for languages. I speak Italian, English, Spanish (scholastic knowledge), a bit of French and a bit of German. I can transliterate Cyrillic and Greek to Latin alphabet but I only know some words in those languages.
I speak four languages—English, French, broken English, and broken French, and understand five languages—English, French, broken English, broken French, and a tribal dialect.
Wow. For me no just one. Although I do have Spaniard and German national. Unfortunately I don't understand, or speak the languages. I know a few basic words of Spanish, but couldn't hold a conversation though

heheheheh nice lol
This is Chinese, and I see the pinyin for China, and the numbers 2 and 5. Unless it is Korean, but Korean is closer to Japanese. Hmmm.
@Amy10223 its not Korean
Never mind, the pinyin for China is a small rectangular box with a vertical line going through the middle.
Andrew, is this Chinese? I know some characters (Hanzu) but not all. Very hard to learn them all. It takes a year, someone told me.
