Ask my boss to be a mentor?

I want to become a manager for where I work, don’t care about the money. I feel like I can make a difference, and people I work with say that I be a good manager. Should I ask my manager to be my mentor?

What is his temperament? Some people make good mentors, like working with people, feel they have things to pass on, and take it seriously. Others not so much.
Either way, you can discuss the matter with your boss.

Very true. Guess worse my manager can say is she don’t have time. I look up to her. Since I want to be manager I feel like she be the right person to make sure I know everything I need to know on how to be a manager.
