I don't wanna google this, but for those who have student loans, what made you do it?

I've been to college and i've been suggested to use their student loans. I never done them due to what I've heard. Also know loans are... i know what they are. Hell, took one with my bank and paid it off finally. But just knowing, I couldn't put $20 before the loan ate it up later. Talked to a dude today about loans he still has to pay so I'm lucky I believe to NOT fall for that shi. so what got you to give in to a loan?

A couple things suckered me into them and here I am, about 15ish years later and owe over $70,000 still. I wanted a better job. I went for the degree for the career I wanted. Almost relieved my bachelor. I started to apply at the places that were hiring in that field. They all wanted 3 years or more work experience.

I did get a student loan but I'd didn't borrow too much. I worked night shifts as a security guard and I joined the army national guard after 2 years.
