Should I resign?

I was promoted from my job after one month. Some people are not happy and cannot expect that I will get promoted.

I did my best in the position, even if at some points I made some mistakes because I am still learning However, in some unfortunate event, I was demoted from level 2 to level 1. It is kind of embarrassing for me because some of those in level 1 are insecure about me, so for sure they will mock me. And, I don't understand why the management did this, but according to them, it's because of performance.

I am depressed right now. Should I just resign?

No. Just focus on your work. Learn your work the best way you can and show management that the second time around you will understand the work detail better.

Learn to use negative experience to your advantage by learning from it and developing into better.

Many times employers will put you in an uncomfortable position hoping you resign. They’ve done studies showing that its easier and cheaper making an unwanted employee resign rather than fire

How so? They could have just fired her.

@Hispanic-Cool-Guy if someone resigns they don’t have to utilize any resources compared to firing. Where they have to prove incompetency or face wrongful dismissal case, or harassment, or human rights etc.

For example long time ago at this place I worked me and another guy did the same job. He was probably 50ish I was in my 20s he’d been there way longer than me. I knew how to do all the jobs he only did one.

The company laid the guy off saying he was old and could only do one job. They never offered to teach him nir did he ask.

He filed a human rights ageism and harassment complaint & won both ended up getting a years salary settlement.

When 'you' climb the ranks, don't expect love all over the place.

If you can't handle this, then indeed: stay where you are. You even may feel happier.
