In university, I got very very high grades but the stress of trying to be the top student made me fat and gave me both physical and mental health issues and if you think this problem is unique, it’s not: Over 50% of Harvard Students access psychological and psychiatric care while studying and even at 4:00 a. m., the libraries at Harvard are packed to the brim with college students trying to get their homework done by putting all nighters. I avoided grad school because I thought I might die from the pressure that getting perfect A’s would have on my body and mind and family. I did not study at Harvard but my school was ranked number 1 in the country at the time I graduated.
No, I always pass without much effort, in fact, I only go to college three days a week. The 40 minutes of traffic between my house and the university stresses me out more.

I got performance anxiety in college. I was a straight A student in high school, but I had undiagnosed adhd that made it difficult to learn once the expectations were higher. It was tolerable until the end of grad school, where I decided my masters would be my last degree. There was a paper I worked day and night on, while working part time in retail with mostly lousy coworkers. I was stressed all the time and ended up getting a B. I cried. Then I realized I needed to be done.
Nah I went to learn what I needed to know, not try to impress anyone with grades. I had no trouble passing with minimal effort so I’d usually roll in hungover and sleep deprived, do my work and go do something that interested me
I didn’t even go to high school
