Hello talk is a really useful language learning app. You can easily reach people from all over the world, I can say that it is the best language learning application I have seen, I give 10/10 to Hello talk. I think it's better than other language learning apps and it's over the top

I dont think you can compare the 2 types. One involves AI and robots and the other is pure human interaction (as i understand from the question).

In my view the best way to learn a language is when you are thrown in an environment where ypu can only speak THAT language.

Exchange students have the best opportunity (hint hint...). Both of you are young. Your brains are still a sponge. Not like that of an old fart like me. I always had the fantasy of knowing at least 4-5 languages but never worked on it.
