Should I assume that I’m fired?

Started a new job less than a month ago. Things were going great until I got really sick on the job and they had to call an ambulance to take me to the hospital. Since then I have missed quite a few days of work. Obviously I didn’t have any PTO since I’m brand new to the company. I called the job for two of the days that I missed, But I’ve had a few no call/ no shows also… just because I was so sick I wasn’t even thinking about work. Nobody has called to see how I’m doing. I’m assuming that I’ve been let go for missing too much work.

It would be weird if they fired you without telling you. You probably still have your job. Is this with a small business or a large company?

It is surprising they didn't check on you. What kind of people are they? I don't think I would want to work for them.
