Both, it is a unique time in life, you will miss it when it is over. However I did have horrible stress both about classes, tests, papers etc but also I had some incredibly stressful personal stuff that was mostly self inflicted.
Socially it is kind of like you are an adult and kind of like you are not, it's this unique phase that lets you learn more about yourself and you make really strong friendships since everybody in that situation together.

It is equally both.
I have had more fun than i could ever imagine and made life long friends fashoo.
But the stress of deadlines, trying to keep up with practices games, work , weight training, studying it can also get overwhelmingly stressful.
It was awsome, everyone I was around was a serious student, no distractions at all. I could focus, learn... it was all day work. stressful... no fun.
that's how it should be... and thats why I refuse to pay for peoples college (by writing off their debt), unless they can prove their did everything in their power to excel at school in a degree that would get them a decent job.
Pretty stressful most of the way through. But on the other hand I have some excellent fun memories also! Mostly Friday and Saturday evenings when you could set the books aside for the evening. Met a lot of people, dated a lot. I am in touch with several of my college friends to this day.

Mixed.
I was so stressed during my higher Preparatory Examination: which was what made me qualify for my BA. (Danish education system)
During my BA, I had stressful situations, but stressful situations aren't bad and in fact sometimes boost performance; like during oral presentations which you need to pass and/or get good grades on, where you've to defend your research, topic and problem solving analysis. But I'm passionate about my field & the subjects within (people/care work/social education), so learning was EXTREMELY fun, not to mention my "class" was AMAZING, great professors & just an overall great experience.I had both experiences. I met a lot of people, went to different places, discovered many things about myself and other people but I also had some stressful moments. Some were with my teachers and others with my classmates. I shed some tears and I had to deal with personal struggles. But overall, it was a great time and I miss college.
I just started recently and for now it's nothing special for me. I don't have that classical university experience either..
I live my life like usual and keep learning besides work like usual lol... but it's not a classic uni, I don't know how to translate it to English but basically I pay, get the scripts, have to learn everything on my own, do little "Homeworks"/essays and send them in and just go to university for the exams.Uni life is meh. The lessons suck. I have barely met new people and it's not only cause I'm a bit antisocial and introverted. There are no opportunities to meet people. I see them everyday but I can't just go up to them and say hey I'm Z. I'm gonna get my degree get a mc as well and find a job as a teacher.
College or especially universities are one of the most time absorbing things that require you to put a lot of effort in it, but also your organisation and communication skills because you'd want to ask important questions that are essential for your exam.
A long and weary road. Studying is expanding your Horizont
Not all universities are created equal.
If you attend a public OR ivy league university, get ready to bust your ass for your degree. If you go to one of those expensive tier III private colleges, they will give you an easy ride for your degree. why? because they are afraid that you will drop out , stop paying their ridiculous tuition and attend a cheaper public university.
I worked my ass off for my degree and I attended a public college. It was no where close to a joy ride. I knew of people who attended private universities, played around and still ended up with a bachelors.
Gonna start my last semester next year. Started out a bit stressful, just had to adjust. 2nd year wasn't so bad. These last few semesters though have been full of work.
Extremely fun, maybe a little stressful at times. Met a lot of my spicy friends in college so, extremely grateful. Lmao.
Definitely some of the best years of my life! Even now I look back and wish I was still at uni
The first time around stressful. Learning a new way of doing things. Not only having structure. There is a freedom too the structure. As in, you have class, you may have attendance, there are consequences to not attending. But it’s not severe like in high school. You may get docked for a grade or something. Most colleges don’t even do the attendance think. They treat you like an adult. You paid, your responsibility to show up and learn. It’s a whole new way of doing things
I did quit college but, for the one year I was there... I certainly had a great time and experience
that because of the GREAT people I met and connected with... academically wise, there were no issues, lol... people though, great timesIt was too much fun! I enjoyed my time there so much that my studies suffered. I finally dropped out and went on with life. I was able to finish years later and get a good degree. College costs too much to let any of that educational time be lost to having fun.
I was a pretty mediocre student before uni, but the subject I studied (programming) fit me like a glove, so I quickly became best of my class and enjoyed the satisfaction of being the best at something, riding that momentum I ended up studying a lot and I enjoyed it all. In the end it gave a huge boost to my career.
Mostly fun. Trying to date was miserable and stressful and extremely unsuccessful, but everything else was a lot of fun overall. The only time I dealt with much academic stress were my semesters during COVID.
It sucked. My roommate made life a living hell and my dad made it worse. I regret not finishing college but I'm glad I left and joined the Navy and that's how I met my wife, so good thing overall.
I enjoyed going to college... and learning what helped me throughout my career. There were some stressful times, like the Chemistry course that everyone would have failed except that the professor wanted to keep his job, so most of us got B's.
I'm currently at Uni, and so far it's been a mix of both. It definitely is not easy and can be stressful at times, but I also have a lot of fun.
I hated my university & usually spent my time visiting friends in another city. It wasn’t stressful because I didn’t care about it at all. Put minimal effort into it & was getting honours I decided to end it and get a job. Recently the university I attended was voted worst in the country. I’ve been saying it for years.
Extremely fun. Wish I took academics more seriously as it was the most expensive party of my life with now 100k in student loans. But overall I enjoyed it. Great experiences. Learned a lot about life living alone for first time
During my first degree it was very fun for me. That was in the early 70s.
Second time around when I was working in architecture degree it became very stressful. Money was running short. I still had fun.
