How would you react if you went to pick up your little kid early from school but you found out they were at their teachers house? (Page 2)

I was telling my mom about how as a kid, we’d spend my last class of the day at my teachers house sometimes. Around about 2pm, she walked the whole class of like 12-20 students to her house about 2-3 blocks away. She took us to her backyard for popsicles while her husband BBQ’d. Then she'd get us back in time to catch the school bus home. I mean, she told us she had permission from the principal so we didn’t give it a second thought, but apparently neither of them received permission from the parents. I remember one day my friend slipped in a pile of her dog’s crap as we ran around the backyard and we all had to walk back to school early. Yea some students went inside the house with her but i highly doubt anything freaky was happening. I don't know but anyways, my mom said that bothered her because if the teacher would have turned out iffy, she and her husband could’ve hurt one of us and no one would’ve known. As a kid, that stuff unfortunately didn’t cross our mind. As a future parent, i’d probably sue someone. #FeelFreeToList

I’d have to know the teacher personally to even begin to be okay with that and even then I don’t know If I’d be ok with it

  We only knew her for that year she was our teacher. But during Halloween we knew exactly how to get to her house for candy

  I need to know and approve whose homes my kids go to. Middle school band teacher would take boys to his home drug and rape them. One commuted suicide because of it. Most teachers want to teach to help kids but there’s a few that go into the field to have easy access to little kids.
