When you were in school what was your least favorite subject and why?

For me when I was in school it was geometry. Math from a scale to 1-10, it's a 7. Like I can do basic math all the way to algebra and a little bit of trigonometry, but geometry was my weakness as well as precalculus.

Another class that was my least favorite was physics. I don't know why it was just boring to me. I didn't flunk the course and physics wasn't hard at all, it was just boring.

Chemistry was my favorite until 9th grade cause the teacher made it boring.

Business finance was boring and not really my favorite class at all.

I assume you are talking school like when you are a kid and not in college/university.

For me, I did not care for English classes. It was mostly a glorious waste when I could have been learning more useful things.

For instance, in high school when I was in the 12th Grade, I had to take two 1-semester English classes of my choice. One was "The Novel" and the other was science fiction related. That last one was OK, but "The Novel" was just annoying. Now, what do I WISH I could have taken that year instead of those?

Earth Science
AP Chemistry
AP Biology
Calculus AB (an AP course)
Latin II

I took psychology and earth science and absolutely loved it, same for social studies.

I loved geometry, and even over 70, I use it just about every day. I just used geometry this week to figure the paint coverage on a series of walls that were broken into triangular segments. My older cousin is a Calc Prof who also teaches Quantum Mechanics. I deal with everyday math that I can use when I shop, craft, DIY, etc.

My least favorite subject was English Lit because my mind just wasn't ready to figure out the "deep meanings" of these books, ie, the "reason" they were written. Now with decades of living behind me, I see their plots, reasons for being, and importance for being included in a curriculum.

Honestly it was either textiles or Religious studies or Games.

Games was basically either rugby, football or softball and it was honestly just boring af. Cross country was the only good thing we did in that lesson.

Textiles as they didn't teach us anything useful. We did making a bag and a pillow. Didn't teach how to reattach a button or anything else useful to start with.

And religious studies as we were forced to learn about 2 religions and then use there reasonings to argue morale points which I found to limiting, you don't really learn much about any religions in this manner.

Ah, that's easy - PE (physical education). I hate sport, always have, and during my first year in secondary school they even tried to force us to go swimming. I hate being wet, and am actually afraid of the water, and yet would those silly clowns listen to me when I tried to tell them that? Oh no. "It's compulsory", they would always say. I mean, would you try to force someone who is afraid of heights to take up parachuting? It was just inexcusble.

I know the feeling on that one. During my sophomore year I was taking Pre-AP history and during the spring semester we had an intern and well let's just say during that semester we the students were teaching ourselves. Even the teacher noticed the intern wasn't doing what she was doing and shorten the internship. Now you know it's bad when you have a 10th grade class full of 15-16 year olds teaching themselves and making the corrections.

I was self taught history lol but in School the only history I was taught was about Andrew Carnegie I am. glad I was taught about him in 10th grade haha that was about the only class I barely showed up too but that was cause there was two baddies in that class lol

• Science and math would be tied. Biology specifically would win against most math though, with the exception of calc
• History class
• English (or literature)
• Artistic classes like ceramics or music
• Social studies / sociology/ psych, etc

History! I loved the stories and learning what happened, but memorizing names and dates was tedious. I loved all the rest of the subjects with the exception of one class I had in college, which was a literature course that spent an entire semester dissecting The Iliad and The Odyssey. Borrrrrrrr-ING!

Definitely math as well. Specifically, Algebra. I dropped out of college for one semester because of Intermediate Algebra, and had to take it 3 times. The funniest part was they wouldn't let me take Stats until I passed it, but I actually found Stats a lot easier.

So many tutors, hours of my dad doing my homework for me. Ugh, I'd rather not relive those days. Fuck math! Elementary school was fine, but as soon as I hit 5th grade, that's when things started to go downhill.
