I’ve been working at the local Salvation Army store for 2 weeks and I want to volunteer at the North shore one, too. To get more experience and references for a job.

It's great that you're interested in volunteering at the North Shore Salvation Army store to gain more experience and references. The timing of when to apply for a second volunteer job can depend on a few factors:
1. Availability: Check with the North Shore Salvation Army store to see if they are currently accepting volunteers and what their needs are. If they are accepting volunteers and you have the availability to commit to another volunteer position, you can apply whenever you're ready.
2. Prioritization: If you have other commitments or priorities, such as school or work, you may want to wait until you have a better sense of your schedule before applying for a second volunteer job.
3. Comfort level: If you're still getting acclimated to your first volunteer job, you may want to wait a bit longer before taking on another volunteer position. This can help ensure that you're comfortable with your first position and can manage your time effectively.
Ultimately, the decision to apply for a second volunteer job depends on your individual circumstances and goals. It's important to prioritize your time and commitments and ensure that you can manage multiple volunteer positions effectively.
I don't think there's any need to wait at all! I can't see them minding. I think that if the Salvation Army has a problem with you wanting to VOLUNTEER at two of their stores (rather than only one store) that would be super messed-up. In fact, if you get "fired" from your Salvation Army volunteer job... because you applied at a second location, you better call Channel 6 News because you've got yourself a story. That would be so ridiculous.
Imagine you get called into a meeting by your volunteer supervisor at the Salvation Army... and get chewed-out because they found out that you were volunteering at a second Salvation Army! Could you honestly get through that meeting with a straight face? If you could... you're taking this whole thing way too seriously.
Good for you though. Seriously. If you gotta have problems. This is the kind of problem to have. 🙂
