Alcohol treatment. What should I tell my employer?

I have found a part time treatment program 2 hours during working hours per week, 3 hours evening runs for 10 weeks. However if I need to take every Thursday afternoon off for 10 weeks, how would I explain that to my employer?

My only concern is

There's a bit of bravado goes with being an alcoholic

That might create a bit of a reputation that might not be entirely accurate

And it might be a magnet to barflys
