Trending & News I have a hard time staying focused since I was diagnosed with diabetes last year. I think I'm getting old, lol. If I don't take breaks often, I get tired, sick to my stomach, and my blood sugar drops. I don't know if it's the diabetes slowing me down, but I am tired all the time. Even when I'm doing my writing, I have to take breaks, or I start falling asleep.
Forcing myself is hard. But once I keep at it. It gets better
i'm literally procrastinating right now haha but really just force yourself, i like to make a schedule of targets i like to hit each day and try to follow that
at the same time, if you're REALLY not feeling up to it you may not produce your best work, but if it's necessary just do it and check over it another day
Have you ever heard of the Pomodoro technique? I’d try that out.
Try to be in the most quiet and well-lit area available to you. That helps.

There is one particular task at work that I find exceedingly tedious. It has about 15 steps. When faced with the whole thing at once, it's too much to tackle so I put it off. Well, I can't keep putting it off so I just do one step at a time and then do something else.
It takes all day but at least it gets done that day.
Prescription dopamine medication. Dopamine making you feel happy is only one of the many things it does. It’s necessary for memory, concentration, and a lot more very important things. It could be a mild or severe dopamine deficiency.
Try getting more sleep at night.
Walk away from your current task. Wash your face with cold water. Take a few deep breaths, stretch a little then go back to the task
Say this out and then keep focus 😁🎸
I used to listen to James Horner's Braveheart or Titanic score when I was in this position
By doing one small thing at a time, just as long as you feel you can handle it.
Light a fire under your ass and get back to it! Focus will come back into view real quick if you set/already have a deadline.
Best way to work on something you can't focus on is to complete it as quick as you can.
Take 5/10 minute break.
Forcing yourself, and self discipline.
