Should I be applying to a college where my boyfriend lives?

We are a new couple. We both are trying to build our lives right now. I'm already in a college but we live in different cities. Last day he asked me to apply the college where he lives. It is one of the best colleges in the country. But what if we break up? what should I do?

No. You should be basing your decision off what the best school for you and what you want to do. That is a huge commitment to go to school along with lots of money. You want it to be for you and not for someone else. Now, if there is a school close to him that checks all the boxes then yeah consider it but make sure this is a you decision and not a relationship decision. Best of luck!

I do not believe you should choose a college you don't want to be close to your boyfriend unless you guys are uncommonly close or dependent on each other because relationships are not stable at that stage and age. Some do marry their partners but it was their education that built their relationship.

Focus on your College first. He just wants you around for EZ poosie. despite how genuine he may sound. Look at the big picture. You're getting an education, you really have no time to worry about that insecure ahole right now. I guarantee he'll probably get you pregnant and cause you to drop college. Leave him, and if he really loves you, he will wait until you graduate.

Not at all. You should find the best college you can get into and can afford and go there. Boyfriends come and go, don't base your future on one guy unless he's put a ring on your finger.

the college is 7-8 hours away from my house but as I said it is one of the best colleges in the country. I thought even though we broke up at least I will get a really good diploma out of the relationship.
