So I used to wear skirts all the time at work but recently a group of guys around my age showed up and pretty much harassed me so now I keep a spare of "ugly" clothes to change into if the come into the cafe/bookstore

-i spilled a drink on my shirt, had to get it washed in the back of the bowling alley away from folks. Imagine a girl just out of school having to hide in the bathroom because I dont want the old men to stare at me.

-i backed up into someone on the road (delivery job), just a bump but got me fired. But it was the one of my best firings I've had in a while. <3 (related note, 2 years ago, girl who "liked liked" me (i think) tried to fire me because a schedule thing. Schedule on my phone was always fked up.)

I have had a few bad ones , 2 car accidents fortunately no one hurt.

An intoxicated session selling a new product on the main street , great fun until I ( gently ) grabbed a lady by the arm and she said " Take your hand off me " kinda killed the moment and we all retreated , were wearing company logo shirts.

Probably worst was getting dismissed , the only time I've ever been sacked in my life , still remember so clearly , but I was basically escorted from the premises , my car taken ( beautiful new company car ) , and I'm standing on the nature strip in front of head quarters , staff were coming and going , thinking I was probably going to some event , I'd been running this raffle for a societee and those prizes ( golf clubs etc ) were nothing to do with the company , as you could imagine , I really couldn't explain all this to the staff , and I was still a bit shell shocked.

Eventually , that very embarrassing moment became a syrendipity.

Probably when I was in high school, I worked at an amusement park. I was working the log ride or flume (think sort of a roller coaster/water slide combined. And we had a ride called the sky lift (think ski lift) that traversed the park. It was only a couple rides over. One of the workers to that ride was flipping a lighter up in the air and it landed above him near the gears of the ride. He did went up trying to retrieve it and his uniform got caught and one of the gears tore his arm off.

2 in a row, first one during the Obama recession, after 5 years of dedication denied me a 0.25 cent per hour raise... 2nd one was Downsizing and watching everyone in my department get let go but yet I was kept. I was the newest to the department and also the cheapest. They decided to presume that on my salary I would now work 12 plus hours a day to get a 4 person job done while also training someone new who was being paid more than me. My salary vs hours worked out that I was making less than a fast food server. Good news is that I left that one real fast to help run and take over my fathers company that's now blooming.

I was going to see some customers early one morning. We just got 5 or 6 inches of snow. I parked on the street in front of the place apparently in front of a storm grate. When I went to get my samples out of the back I slipped and twisted my ankle. I stayed there for a couple of hours and then drove back to the store. My ankle really hurt. I kept a pair of hi top sneakers in my desk so I put them on and worked the whole day. When it was time to go home my foot was so swollen I could not get my boot back on. My wife looked at it when I git home. She said my toenails were black and took me to the hospital. They x rayed it and it was a severe sprain.

Working at the Easter show, when these school girls who I was working with I overhear them talking negative about me. The next day, they blamed me for filling up the sink and leaving things soaking in dirty water. I straight up told them it wasn't me it was the supervisor who did that. Later that night the supervisor drops the 600ml bottle of coke in the food and the food splatters everywhere and she blames me for it and makes me clean it up. I also had another person criticise me for not knowing how to use a register when I did. They were using an old type of cash Register that wasn't working properly and would get stuck. I never received an apology from the one who was criticising me after he himself had trouble opening the Register.

After 4 shifts they basically fired me for shit I didn't do.

At one of my former jobs, I worked a double on a Saturday. One of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made in my life. It seemed like everything went wrong that day and customers were being extra rude and disrespectful. At the end of the day, some co-workers had to literally do a group hug after such a rough day. Been thrown into a couple rescue/recovery missions. Worst was getting the coast guard broadcast that one of our companies other boat’s distress signal went off with no mayday call. We were nearby caught in the same storm but still too far to be any help, was a long night waiting for updates. 1 guy made it miraculously but 2 didn’t

I was working in a customers house. The family was home at the time. I ran out and got the shop towel and put it in my pants so they wouldn't see my ass hanging out. They noticed the rip but they didn't see anything but the towel.
I finished the job and when I submitted the invoice they paid immediately and gave me extra to buy a new pair of pants. They've been a regular customer ever since

I fell 5 feet down and landed on my back, then the file cabinet fell out of the truck and landed on top of me. I had the wind knocked out of me once by the fall and again by the file cabinet. The edge of it almost landed on my neck. Almost died.

@Guardian45 I was working a very boring and repetitive job, in a plastic pieces factory. Basically I had to take some plastic pipe made in the machine, cut out any excess, then put it in a box.
I was supposed to put the knife back into its sheath each time I was done with it, sheath that was in my pocket.
Basically after hours of it, I got so bored that I lost my focus, and missed the sheath. When I crouched to get the new pipe that has been made, the knife pierced my pocket and stabbed my arm. Not deep, but enough to bleed quite a lot, and go to the hospital for stitches.
And after 2 hours I went back to work.
