I don't think it's selfish to given men direction that helps them become productive and earn a living. Some people are innovators and entrepreneurs, others just want someone to tell them what to do so that they can earn enough to put a roof over their head and a warm meal in their belly. Different people have different rolls to play based on their ability.

Nah, people at that level are owning companies so are usually such perfectionists that no one else will do things the 'right' way

Not to mention whatever they are using the money on can build jobs for others. Jeff Bezos has build so many jobs for others because he stuck to his dream. He and people like him are making this world. Without them this world would be even further deep in the dark ages.
