What's the shortest job you ever had and why did you leave?

Mine is working from home with Hyatt, it was causing me more issues than it was worth and our systems was always crashing

I worked for 3 weeks at a store and a younger employee was jealous of me because I was a University student so I got paid within a week and she had to wait over 3 months for her first pay cheque so one day she told me she would take over my shift 20 minutes before she was supposed to and clock me out. She never clocked me out and the boss ended up paying me for 4.33 hours I did not work because she never clocked me out when her shift began like she said she would and he fired me because he thought I intentionally stole his money. I might have been able to save my job by talking about how she scammed me but I did not care enough to explain myself since I did not need the money and being a university student, I knew I could find another job in 3 days if I wanted to find another job.

I'm self employed now but its voluntary self employment because I have good education credentials, amazing grades, high confidence, and a good personality so I can easily get another job working for somebody else if that is what I want but I prefer to work for myself because I want to create a business that is automated so I can work at a reduced schedule in the later years of my life, leaving me room for other goals like meeting guys and having kids and having a new life.

I worked in a place that had a really strange culture. I applied for an engineering position and they called me and said that after looking at my resume they wanted to offer me a managerial position. I ended up taking it but from day 1 I noticed that people were always paranoid and often people would just disappear and nobody would talk about it. My boss would schedule meetings with me in a conference room, then not show up to the meeting. The engineers I was in charge of got angry when I would ask them for progress reports and one guy complained to the owner that I asked him to inform me that he was working from home. I was there for 7 weeks and then I got fired. They would not even tell me why I was fired. They even admitted that I showed up on time every day and that I did everything they asked me to do.

They were probably doing something criminal that they never told you about.

@msc545 I don't know. I was in charge of about 30 engineers and technicians. The senior most guy had been there for 9 months. People would come and go every day it seemed. I still get email from them looking for help. It really was nuts.

Working temporary jobs for Summer months and did some work for my neighbor's yard at their other yard and ended up getting bite with 6 bee stings. But I made money, but I needed something more than temporary.
