I am trained in medical, worked in it for 10 years, and applied to a local doctor's clinic upon moving closer to my parents. I have never worked for such an unprofessional place before.
1) The lead receptionist was terrible. Could barely train for the expected tasks, was inept in her own work (e. g. she was supposed to pull referrals when the clinic received confirmation from specialists & there were dozens left in the drawer making for confusion), etc.
2) The doctors were not that good. Slow in their jobs, poor communicators (yes English was their first language), and not very able to good at tasks and responsibilities or responding to legitimate messages relating to patients (such as prescription refills) on a timely basis.
Anyway today they told me - who is more adept than all of them to be honest, I learnt their software system & what was expected in 2-3 days - that I wasn't going to be a "good fit".
I in turn turned around and said "thank god I didn't like working here, there is no growth and it's stagnant, etc." I went further to state that I knew it was the head receptionist who had a problem with the fact I caught on quickly despite the fact that the instructions were poor.
I didn't like the job within the first five days.
.
But then when you're in an interview & the interviewers are telling you they've had multiple staff pass through the door in a short time frame (trying to fill a simple maternity leave contract) before you are even hired... that's a big red sign something's wrong with them.

I leave jobs calmly and professionally. You never know when you'll need a reference. But I will tell them diplomatically and honestly what the issues are.
The worst job? I was hired as a server at a restaurant in a DoubleTree Hotel decades ago. Zero training and sent me out to take tables. I was an utter disaster. Then they demanded I wear a name tag but wouldn't provide me one. I left that job after three shifts but not until I shared my experience with the Food and Beverage Manager. Their eyes grew wide as they began to understand why their turnover was 96%.
When I left the place after 2 weeks because of their ineptitude I would never need them on my resume
True true!
Bells Outlet. Talk about a dead end job. My supervisor who was there way before I arrived got over looked for promotion and a newbie came in and became a manager before her. She quite a week or 2 after and then I left as well.
