Last job. I was a marketing canvasser for a window company, which was door to door. I was pretty good with it. And I had to go into homes when asked by clients to. A client asked me to check the windows not viewable from the street. I went inside, he locked the door and attempted to grab my penis. I told that customer I was going to punch him in his fucking mouth. I was fired.

Yes, for not sleeping with a female boss, this has happened several times. Of course that's not the stated reason, but the real one.. & no, I didn't bother reporting it, I knew better. For some reason many of them think I'm a player but faith means something to me & I'm active in my church.

@SakuraBlossoms87 They have a way of making things very difficult, start vicious rumors, reminds me of high school in some ways. The last time I was fired for "not being a team player" whatever that means. I only focus on my work & nothing else.

What kind of businesses?

@SakuraBlossoms87 I don't care for your attitude. They made things difficult to the point I no longer wanted to work there. I was fired for not being a team player like I told you the first time. That was the reason I was given I I couldn't care less whether you accept it or not. If you can't handle that kindly stop engaging with me:)

@Reorx - being a "player" is VERY VERY different from being a "team player". Being a team player means you contribute to the workflow of your colleagues and contribute to the business. You help make things easier... It does NOT and it NEVER has meant that you are a "player" in that you are to sleep with the females at work.

@SakuraBlossoms87 do us both a favor & stop talking to me, perhaps it's a cultural thing, no idea. I just know I don't like you & no longer want to engage with you.

What Girls & Guys Said

Yeah I have. Twice. Other times, I said fk you and this job.
1st time- i was under the unbearable stress at my delivery job and missed my turn. Tried to back up to- oops, bumped into a guy. Didn't tell my boss because it was JUST A BUMP. Whateva, I was relieved. Like thank the loving god. It was a terrible job.
2nd time- This was not my fault, it was my agency's fault. I once went 3 months without a paycheck from a job I started, and wouldn't move until i got my check. Then these mofos was supposed to pay me on the day I work. They didn't... so I told them "I don't move until I get my check." So instead of saying it's their fault, they said the "Manager took you off the project." And it took them 2 weeks to get my checks. 2 weeks I would have been working on no gas, no food, or nothing. And they requested I have a place nearby that I can stay at. (roommate or apartment) If I did, i would have made a big mistake. Tried again with a different agency, and the place I worked at said I was banned. So the agency late with the paycheck, got me banned.
:)... subtle reminder to not waste my time with jobs who are fukin' around with my money.
Also I'm a boy today, lol. Love April fools.

I've walked out of 3 jobs in disgust.
I'm a specialist in pharmacy, been headhunted for jobs across the country even, and I've walked out of pharmacies because I was disgusted by the inadeptitude of the owner or manager which is ultimately more hassle than worth.
Take the last pharmacy I worked at & walked out on.
I am certified in compounding - creating patient specific medication - & have 10 years of experience. Including having worked at some high end compounding pharmacies.
At this pharmacy where I was working there were people with NO training in compounding, NO certification in compounding... doing the compounds. They started their role before I got hired however each and every one continually made BASIC errors
Instead of the owner logically putting me in the compound area and telling one of these others to do basic pharmacy jobs. The owner made me do basic pharmacy jobs and kept these clowns who were again routinely making BASIC errors doing compounds.
It got to the point of... I am bored out of my mind & wasting time... so I walked out.
.
And it's not a matter of my abilities. I've worked in faster higher volume pharmacies before that also do compounds and been immediately thrown into compounding.
It was the owner that was the problem. And with my expertise I didn't have to tolerate

Yes I was fired once. They accused me of stealing merchandise from the store so they fired me. After I was gone, the thefts continued. They found the real person that was stealing and fired him. They called me and offered me my job back but I refused. My loyalty and trust to them was gone because of the accusation. That was the only time that I was ever fired from a job.

That sucks!

It's their loss, not mine. I was a great employee.
- +1 y
Of course, but it demonstrates poor management on their part. Best thing that you left.
- +1 y
Funny thing is that I was training to be a manager.
- +1 y
No they didn't have any evidence of me stealing. They assumed that since they didn't have any thefts before I came to that store that it was me. It was actually a regular employee of the store. He didn't know that I got fired so he continued to steal until he got caught. I could have sued for wrongful termination but I let it slide. I'm not the type of person who sues for everything.

@exitseven they are no longer in business. They went bankrupt 2 years after they let me go.
764 opinions shared on Education & Career topic. Perfect storm. Work injury +changing management+ financially speaking, I simply don't need to anymore.
The better questions is why i wasn't smart enough to quit earlier (before my injury). I've always defined a large part of me by work ethic. Something I'm trying to change now. I'll still work, but probably not for someone else. My loyalty to people who don't deserve it has always been a big flaw of mine.
Right now I've just been trying my hand at trading. It's not exactly paying the bills😂 but I have been profitable. And in the current market I'm satisfied with what I've accomplished thus far.

I fired my last employer. It was time for me to leave. I was getting fed up with a workforce around me. Then I retired and start collecting my pension / social security. It felt so good when I told him no I'm no longer coming in to work. It felt great that they wanted me to stay but it was time for me to go.

I was a team leader at the point and the company disorganized the whole inventory because their system was crap and they blamed the workers so I was like alright bet, watch this crap collapse without me, a few months later a old coworker was like" don't come back it's way worse" dummies 😂
20 Reply 2.9K opinions shared on Education & Career topic. yes, once. I was hired to manage a group of engineers. I did everything I was asked nd more. After being there for 7 weeks I was canned. I think the people I managed complained because I was holding them accountable for the work they were responsible for.

Yup. Cause Target wanted me to get them more of those stupid ass red cards and i uhh gave people discounts in exchange for them signing up to make sure the count was high. Bad idea and i was fired for that lol.

Never been fired, quit my last job because my boss wasn't a good one, currently quitting my current job - so I can be transferred to another institution.

What is your industry?
No, thankfully not. But was laid off due to covid.
I previously worked on a project related to transportation - and covid = less to no transportation = mass layoffs. :
