To clarify
Basic job - requires little or no skills
Mid skill - requires some aptitude & as a minimum some education
High level - requires a diploma or bachelors, anything with completed 2 or 4 year education

No - don't work --- welfare, benefits or any other support means so this includes family, boyfriend, husband or wife.

I'm retired. I receive Social Security and Medicare. I also receive a pension from my old job. And I have money saved in an IRA. My wife also receives SS and Medicare and she is self employed so still works part time.

I worked as a senior motor vehicle damage field adjust/appraiser for an auto insurance company for 30 years. I made a really good salary and amazing benefits. I started as a trainee with only a high school diploma but later decided to go back and complete my Associate degree. Normally you would need a BA in order to get that job. I lucked out with a high level referral from a VP for that trainee program.

I guess I was mid-level, but the salary and benefits were comparable to many high level jobs. And I learned some very specialized skills.

The only welfare I ever received in my life was unemployment for close to a year when I was in my early 20s. I milked it for as long as possible so that I could spend all my time having fun. LOL
