Curious how many on gag is or not.
I’m fortunate enough to never have to worry about general bills , mortgage , food etc and can tap the card on socials and entertainment and not even think about budgeting. I have zero debt apart from the mortgage which has very little left on it and will be paid off long before I currently plan on retiring.
My investments are performing well with 1 years salary on hand for emergencies that I’ve not had to touch in the last 5 years other than to top up as my salary has increased.
I’m by no means living the dream or can spend frivolously but I never would any as I’m not a spend thrift
Yes.
No one has millions to billions in their bank account on here where they can just float by not worrying about food , housing , transportation , utilities , medicine , medical bills , insurance , and health.
Richest of the rich don’t live paycheck to paycheck, unless everyone on GAG is secretly a wealthy tycoon pretending to be one of the working class, I highly doubt there is not one soul who lives paycheck to paycheck.
Why else do we complain when inflation is high or gas / oil is high or whatever?
Because it genuinely affects us regardless of political ideology.
Luckily, no. My partner and I are lucky enough to live comfortably with what we make from out jobs. That, and my partner is fantastic with money, and she does a great job budgeting out our finances and planning for big ticket items like vacations, houses, cars.
I meet enough people in my job that are scraping by and, because they are at my place of work, they will be hit with usually a very large bill. It keeps me from taking anything for granted though.
No, thank God. Sadly, that was the case when I was working! I was afraid I would lose my home, is how bad it was. I no longer have this burden and I hope you or anyone else here is not going through that burden.

As of right now I am because I am playing catch up on my bills since I was laid off from my last job , but now that I am working again , I will hopefully be out of the hole soon
Did you clap like Will Smith 👏 lol like the ending in The Pursuit of Happiness - I got the job , 😁 I got the job 🏙️🌆🏙️🌆 clap clap clap music plays
LOL for a few seconds until I realized what I was walking into when i accepted this position , it’s a purse shit show , now i am slowly putting my finger up and tempted to throw in the towel , I haven’t had a day off since I started this job and I am so burned out already , they keep saying it will get better, which to me is a bunch of bullshit , because it’s getting worse each day
@Finchie40 a source here of calming, no-pressure, inspirational to keep you going Finchie in your job: like Older Homer Simpson says in a later episode, all jobs suck, that's why we're paid to do them plus taxes. And that's why I still drag myself out of bed in the morning - and on weekends, I have money to spend - it's easy to be negative and as easy to become positive 😆☺️ much like a bad joke of the sexuality section get it? Lol 😆
I have some income, but without another part time job, I am stretched to limit.
I'm the one writing those paychecks. I'm the last one that will be worrying about that.
I have a good income and passive income for real estate I inherited. Maybe I can't afford a private jet or 60m yacht without selling everything buy if I need a car I just buy it.
Yes we live pay check to pay check just trying to pay bills and both my wife and I are on Social Security and we have no savings left & it takes every thing we have just to pay the bills and not buy any of the extra s we like or want. Dennis
No. I was brought up on the "easy Bohemian payment plan". Save your money. Pay 100% down and no monthly payments. Except for our retired mortgage, followed that pretty much all the time.
My weekly paychecks just sit in my dresser drawer till the end of the month when I go to the bank for the rent money. Sometimes they sit there for 2 months or more, until my boss asks me when I'm going to cash all my paychecks haha
All my "paychecks" go straight to my storage fees!! I'm living on what very little cash I have left and, the way things are going, I'll be in a cardboard box by the end of the year!!
The ones who said no live with their parents I'll guarantee it or they are trust fund babies. There's probably very few under the age of 30 that fully support themselves without any issue
No. House paid off, several hundreds of thousands in retirement accounts.
Yes and no, I'm setting 25% aside for retirement plus savings and investing then bills. Leftovers go to checking for fun which I keep the balance low. keeps me hungry that is paycheck to paycheck the rest I don't see unless check up on it.
Nope i keep them like 80%-100% in the savings bank account.
No. My wife and I are in good shape financially.
nope yet i still live like i do lol
that stress never completely goes away
Just about, it’s getting to the point where I might have to go into my savings, wages are no where near what they should be now with the cost of inflation on everything
Im not living paycheck to paycheck in Tennessee. I work 50 hours a week at 17 dollars an hour and after expenses at the end of the month i generally walk away with over 2k in profit
Thats great to hear!
Others have no excuses.
I'm good with money in that I always live within my means.
Even when I was poor I always put some money in the bank.
Sometimes i have some money saved and sometimes I have $100-$200 left over from my paycheck but im def nit havibg loads of money left over and im in a better financial place then I was a 3 years ago
At one time in my life I was. At this point in my life I am doing good.
Aren't 80-90% of us? (I'm living from Old Age Security to Old Age Security!!!)
No I work but also in school I’m getting some help.
Not as much as I used to but I am certainly not at a point where I can comfortably purchase without a care in the world.
Yes but I know how to budget. I rarely go dry and maintain a $2000 emergency fund.
Nope, i have a paycheck but i always earn some cash outside my paycheck...
I work full-time but hustle on the side aswell. I'm not dealing drugs but I have my ways of getting extra money while having fun at the same time
Unfortunately. I make 15 an hr. Have no choice.
I know how to manage money, so I always save some.
Not anymore thank goodness. Not since my mid twenties.
No. Was never.
