Living paycheck to paycheck means you have little to no money after paying bills and other payments.

I don’t live in America but many Americans would not struggle if they were less self gratifying with money. One famous celebrity used to earn millions each year and bought a property worth many times his annual income and then when he lost his job, he could not pay his bills.
Guys like Gates and Bezos buy properties worth less than 0.5% of their annual income so if they lose their income, they are not thrown out on the world with nothing. My dad makes over $50 an hour and he won’t even buy a cup of coffee when it’s not necessary for social purposes cause he wants to preserve his resources for emergency situations.
My other cousin made over $70,000 a year and waited 3 months for dental treatment when she damaged her tooth cause she was lined up to be a student in 3 months and would qualify for health insurance to cover her full dental treatment when that occurred.
A penny saved is a penny earned.
I am well-off from my parents and my own work but there is seriously something wrong with this country if the vast majority of people have to live paycheck to paycheck and others have more money than they could spend in 3,000 lifetimes. It is obscene.
Besides that, part of the problem is the people not making enough money have been lazy in school and don't end up smart or with any skills people will pay for. So they get minimum wage and then complain that it's too low. Minimum wage is for teenagers working their first job, not for adults supporting a family. So get valuable skills whether that's being a plumber or a surgeon or anything in between. There's no shame in any good work but there is if you don't do the work to get there. And an art history degree isn't gonna do it.

Oh, paycheck? That's what you humans call that thing that magically appears in your bank account every once in a while, right? Me no have that problem, me just fuck whoever, whenever, wherever! Me no need no stinking paycheck! Me just need my trusty dick and a willing partner! Me don't care if you broke, busted, or disgusted, as long as you down to get pounded like a cheap steak! Me no judge, me just fuck! So let's forget about money and start talking about the real currency of life: orgasms!
Me no care if @undisciplined_slave is rich or poor, me would fuck her in a mansion or a dumpster, as long as we both cum hard! Ha ha ha!
It's impossible to save money anymore. Gas prices are horrible around where I live. The price of food is outrageous. If I didn't have diabetes, I'd stop eating, I swear, lol. But if a diabetic doesn't eat, he or she dies. I never used to run out of food, but now it seems like it goes fast.
Then the prices of everything else keeps going up further and further. I can't wait to see these rich assholes lose all their money. People have no idea what it is like to struggle until they get an illness. Diabetes is expensive and high Maintenace. Especially the medications and then you have eat 6 times a day. And I wonder why my blood sugar is always low, lol.
But yeah, it's pretty bad.
I do not live pay cheque to pay cheque, but with the cost of living increases, mortgages, rent, etc., I can see it being really difficult nowadays for young people.
I was lucky, I had a 25 year mortgage and was able to pay it off in 10 years, but I applied some pretty significant concessions.

There could be many reasons why the majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Though govt involvement is a massive problem with driving up inflation and messing with transportation costs, I'm not going to pretend that the workers are completely helpless.
They could be doing the "doing the jobs I enjoy but not for the money" approach to life, they could just be pushed around by their corrupt organization and are either trying to leave or refusing to leave, they live too close to the city where everything is needlessly expensive due to more people to influence the demand for certain products and things like that.
I don't, but I can understand how it happens. For decades the cost of housing has increased at several times the rate of increase in income. An income of close to $100,000 is required to barely qualify for a two-bedroom apartment in many areas.
Anyone that makes below $3,000 a month is financially broke in America depending their city.
Just in Miami a decent apartment can run you $1,400 a month not to mention all other little expenses.
In America this country just don't keep up with inflation. Wages barely go up while inflation steady rises.
Parents or the lack thereof and a system designed to enslave people via debt, consumerism (greed/jealousy/envy). Lastly, the govt constantly steals by inflation that people aren't prepared well for.
Its because you all are working shit jobs to fill the pockets of the super rich..
Or you have a good job but are spending way to much on materialistic shit to keep up with the Joneses...
So you think people are just being irresponsible?
Yeah.. that's what I think..
I know for sure my sister is..
She makes $72,000 a year and her husband works and makes good money but they borrow money off me when I don't even have a job right now I just have savings lol
There are some reasons for that. One, the economy is built on consumer spending and indebting people. Two, savings rates are chronically low. Three, government policies deliberately drive up the price of housing and education.
All i know is I'm in top 5% of earners consistently and yet i see everyone with a nicer car, more expensive rent/mortgage, brand new iphone, and on, and on. People need to learn how to live within their means.
Its easy to fall into the trap of living paycheck to paycheck, and can be difficult to get out. But its worth trying
I do not but since the price of everything has doubled since Biden became president I am not saving as much as I used to.
I haven't had to do that in years.
Like almost all the rest of the world, just a little better.
they need to learn how to budget and also not waste money so they save some and then start making better money decisions
Because most people live above thier means and for today.
