Has anyone at your job shown any dislike towards you?

Whether it be employees or managers. I have a lot of people at work who dislike me, and they have no problem showing it.

Yes. I was literally written up for insubordination because one of my supervisors. I was Dispatching and she kicked me out of the office and claimed I was congregating and loitering in Dispatch. I told her I was relieving an officer from Dispatch for his break and she said it did not matter and if I did not leave she would get our higher supervisor. Because I "talked back" I was written up for insubordination and kicked out of Dispatch. Funny thing is she ended up getting terminated due to her attitude towards a guest; she escalated the situation into an incident. Her attitude got the best of her. Now she wants to be my friend, badly. She created two Facebook accounts and tried to add me as a friend and I declined both. She also liked one of my photos even though I denied her Facebook requests. Meaning, she took time out of her day to snoop on my via the internet. It's really creepy...

Honestly, take it as a compliment. The one supervisor I was dealing with only had issues with other women (usually young and pretty) or men who accomplished something she thought she deserved for herself. Or men who rejected her. She hated them, too. That's it. She was very insecure. The way I see it, your haters are your biggest fans in disguise. If you don't have haters, you aren't doing something right.

Oh absolutely! That's why I'm no longer working with or under said people... I found another job as soon as I realized I was not needed or wanted.

I've experienced managers and coworkers that hated me- they couldn't say it of course, because that's "unprofessional." But their actions and behaviors spoke for them: blatant favoritism, racism, double standards, micromanaging, catching them in lies... The list goes on.

So when I no longer felt welcome, or my job was in jeopardy? I jumped ship! And the irony is, EVERY job I've left, the departments got worse! And no, that's not me saying that; colleagues from said departments, or people that associated with them would tell me how things aren't the same without me there, or how bad conditions have gotten. Meh, their loss, not mine...

Isn’t that funny? My job is the same. They target the best employees and make us look like the bad guys. But, as soon as we move on, everything goes downhill.

Exactly that! They punish or run off their best staff, then wonder why productivity is down, or they can't retain their employees anymore

Oh tons. At nearly every job I've ever had. Sometimes it has been on the cusp of violence, but then they thought better of it. My current boss seems to like me as a person because we have similar experiences. I'm quit certain she's not thrilled with being my boss. I know at least 40% of my coworkers don't like me because we've openly had that conversation. You know how much that affects my paycheck? Zilch, so they can make a flying F at a rolling doughnut and have better success than getting me to give a shite about their opinion.

I've worked in many places where I didn't get along with either my supervisors, or managers or both, or with those I worked alongside, but that was only because I'm the type of person who just wants to get the job done, and done properly the first time around, but they were usually more concerned about silly things like office politics, gossip, and slacking off.

Dedicated, conscientious people are never appreciated it seems.

No. I’m grateful to have a positive rapport with with all of my colleagues and supervisors. Your situation, however, is concerning. Why do you think that’s the case? Are you rude or difficult to work with? Multiple colleagues don’t just dislike you for no reason. I’d do some self reflection, if I were you.

Well, let’s see. I don’t call out everyday. I don’t let anyone disrespect me. I voice problems. I don’t run and hide when a customer needs help. I do my job plus theirs. Oh, and a couple of coworkers I used to hang out with believe I’m a whore. But, you’re right. I’m the problem.
