Professionally, I recommend writing an email addressing your time there and reasons you’re leaving for your 2 weeks notice. But if it is an urgent matter… I definitely believe it’s more than okay to tell them directly and share your concerns for the quick notice. Hope you’re doing okay…
If you have something better lined up, just march on into his/her office and state it. But do make sure you have that nailed down.
