I’m trying my best to be grateful for this shitty ass job because of how the last 2 laid everyone off out of nowhere. But this dumb hoe of a supervisor keeps fckin with my money and I’m heated. When i first started working here, they didn’t pay me my check on time due to this supervisor who is over everyones timecard submissions. She FORGOT to submit all of the new hire’s time because she simply forgot we existed. I snitched on the her during my supervisor evaluation. But her friend who grades those gave her a heads up. So she's been playing nice and trying to get her shit together so she wouldn’t get a bad report again. Here we are now where I’ve requested off 3 days this month. She approved all and it even shows in the vacation/sick time chart. I check my time card today and notice that it says “no show” for one of those days, so no pay. This bumhoe has LIED saying due to a power outage or some shit. Its literally in the system where my days were approved and one was for being sick and i have a doc excuse. And now i won't get paid on time again because she submitted a LIE. I’m legit going tf off on her rn. She goes “you’ll still get some kind of extra pay for New Years”. MF I WANT MY PAY FOR THESE DAYS YOU FCKED UP. Like I can’t keep playing nice when she keeps playing with my money. I want to take it to someone over her but they all seem to be her friends. Plus i worry about getting fired for complaining. #FeelFreeToList
Document every correspondence and leave a paper trail on everything. If you verbally talk to someone about your issue, Document it, date, time, person you spoke to and what was discussed.
Don't take no shit. Tell them you want reimbursement in your check this week. If you don't see it, go over her head to human resources

Ask her to put her reasons in WRITING and document both incidents in the same document. I assure you that it will change the behavior. Its a criminal act, and opens the company to suit.
Even if she has friends above her they won't sheild her if you can show a pattern of abuse.

I've waited a long time to be paid but I was earning a lot so I had the funds to tied me over. There is a lot of difference if your budget is tight and you're Not going to get money you are entitled too.
One large corp I worked for sent around a memo which said we need everybody to put in an unpaid hour a day to cover the 4 weeks paid leave. The permanents were vigorously saluting that flag! I think you get 2 weeks leave in the US so if the company doesn't pay paid leave that would be about a 5% drop in your salary and a 5% decrease in the companies labor bill. (I contract - no paid leave)
I'd suggest asking co-workers who have been there for years if they actually get paid paid leave. Bonuses might depend on this lurk and it could go up a few levels. Might not just be incompetence.
i guess it depends on how hard it is to get another job, how much you think it red flags you, how well it pays paid hours, and if there is a union. It stinks but you could see it as being you still have the 3 days of paid leave entitlements.
Sheesh mama you got every right to be heated asf! That boss lady been playin you for far too long and messin with your paper. Ain't no way you should let that ol girl keep gettin over on you like that.
Next time she try pullin some bs, you gotta shut that shit down immediately. Straight up tell her if your pay ain't right next check you takin it to the big boss man. Bet she fall in line real quick once she know you ain't playin no more.
And your man needa step up too. Yeah he might keep the peace but they still takin his money each month! Sometimes you gotta stand yo ground and let em know it ain't cool keepin the homie short. He respect you for havin his back even if he don't wanna make waves himself.
But shit, I feel you on tryna keep a job in this market. Still ain't no excuse for them to steal ya hours like that tho. You do what you gotta to get ya paper sis! And next time somebody try say you ovaryactin, you send they ass to me. I got you, aight? #NoCap
If it's in the system that you filed for and were approved for days off, how can this woman NOT pay you? Have you gone to her superrvisor? This seems very wrong.
However, I suggest that if you cannot get transferred to a different department where you are not under this woman that you begin a new job search. This sounds like a lose-lose scenario for you. You need to have a good recommendation from your current workplace, not a complaint about a supervisor. That is always a red flag in the interview process. "something's wrong with this employee." Even if what you say is True.
You need to manage YOURSELF in this situation. But I still believe leaving this situation is what is best for you. It's annoying and inconvenient to have to find another job after suffering through what sounds like other layoffs. But there are still a lot of jobs out there. The job market for seekers remains strong.
Good luck managing this tough time. It's her power trip she gets off on screwing you over!
My supervisor is the same!
Record everything take pictures of everything!
Also report it to someone higher always! Be friends with that person tell them your trying working hard but she is ruining the job making you get paid less if at all!
She adores ruining the young ones loves she has shown she cares less and will screw you over!
Don't let her get away with it report it always and record it all!
Your trip record her saying you have that time off if she cancels it ruin her life!
It is illegal and doing that can cost her job!
even if they are their friends... your problem can be fixed
so, just do it...
here is the thing, even if they are her friends, they might cover for her, ONCE... but if it keeps repeating, then they are not going to keep covering for her, so... you just go and get your situation reported and fixed as many times necessary... at the end of the day, this is your money, so get it done... lolWhen you know the law there's no reason to get upset about this kind of thing. You'd be smiling because most states will make the employer pay 3 times what they owe you and getting the employer found guilty is very easy. You call a phone number. The state then calls up the employer and asks a few questions & based on their answers makes a judgement. Most employers are smart enough to want to avoid this problem.
My advice? Document. Document EVERYTHING. I have records of everything that involves my name in this company for the specific purpose of combating those type of errors and incompetence.
I would also es take it up with HR as well. I'd go as far as to put it in an email and CC your supervisor and manager.I've left jobs for less.
In general, people don't leave jobs - they leave toxic environments and poor managers. High staff turnover usually means crappy pay and conditions.
You think anyone grows up saying "My dream job is garbage collection"? But there's plenty of folks do that for 40 years. You need to contact dept of labor /wages give me more info so I can tell you exactly what to do by the way if I were out sick do you have proof dr notes? I've dealt with this before and got my money. DONT SAY A WORD JUST DO IT!
Details please and I’ll give you advice this is bullshhiitt but you can teach them a lesson and get all your moneyIn most states, withholding wages is a crime. Talk to the attorney general's office, explain what happened and ask them to investigate. It's difficult, but when you call, be factual and unemotional. Anger and righteous indignation feel good but do not make your claims more valid.
You are probably not the only one to have had problems. Relay some anecdotes and ask them to investigate those as well.
You're in a toxic work environment. Why not find a job somewhere else, someplace you would like to work and treats you well, not this place where you have a "shitty ass job" and they treat you badly.
Yeah. Make sure you get everything in writing, text or emails just in case you need to press charges, or to prove wrong doing to a labor board.
@OlderAndWiserAw yeah, you definitely need to report that chick... Again.. Geez terrible Supervisor. But probably going somewhere higher up, showing the evidence of the days you requested off, and how you got screwed over for one day, and go from there..
There's no such thing as overreacting when it comes to your money. She should be fired for screwing up that often and that bad.
I'd take that as far up the chain as you can go. There's no room in this universe for unaccountable supervisors.Absolutely. You don’t do stuff like that. It seems like some places just let anybody be a supervisor. This reminds me of when I worked at Walmart 😂
Clorox syringe and a rousing game of "Hide the Lightbulb"
I'm just sayin'I'd it happens again take it to HR. If you get no action go to the state labor board.
I did that at my last job. I got fired by the boss. But the boss got fired a few days after me.
Are you part of the union? That'd be the step to take in that case. Or just start searching for new employment.
