Do employers hire more attractive people than unattractive fat people regardless of their intelligence?

For certain positions, that does seem to be the case. But I have seen lots of women with jobs that I didn't find attractive, so it's not some universal law.

Now, maybe we need to differentiate between organizations when we look at this topic. Bigger international companies in Germany sure seemed to have more attractive women working there.

Yes, especially women. i worked for a big defense contractor and there was a lot of hot looking women there. They were not there because of their typing skills.

I worked a co-op job when I was in college. I was about to go back to school and the boss wanted me to help choose my successor. There was a very attractive girl who was really smart. She aready had a degree in music but wanted to be an engineer. There was a kid that was just average but he was a guy.
I told the boss how smart the girl was and how she would do a great job. The boss told me that she would be too much of a distraction

I've seen it done several times, the smarter choice gets passed up by the attractive and good looking people. The world still has a high school-type heiarchy, whether it's talked about and admitted it or not.
