Depends on the pay and hours worked. I work in food service but I’m also given my own tips and I get to take them home every night, I don’t have to pool them and I still get hourly too. It’s a good chunk of money on busy days. Food service in general doesn’t pay very well even for those working full-time (which is a bit of a rarity), so it depends on how much money you need and how long they let you work.
