If I’m looking for a job, how much jobs online should I apply per day, and is it better to apply online or in person?

I would much prefer to go talk to people in person but typically I think they just send you home to fill something out online. Maybe if it's a mom and pop type place in person would be better. The larger the place the less likely it's even possible to talk to the hiring people. I guess just call a day or two after applying online if it's somewhere you know is hiring. Then maybe you stick out some from the sea of applications.
