It’s 2 am, and you’re asleep. Your boss calls you. You respond with “sir, it’s 2 o’clock in the morning.” He responds by saying “I’m paying you way too much money to hear those words come out of your mouth.”

Fuck that. I’d find another job

These are millionaire problems. This only even makes sense if some boss is paying you millions of dollars every year. Otherwise curse him out thoroughly, before finding another job. That is only acceptable in a universe where somebody is paying you millions of dollars every year. 🧐

we don't have a boss that call us on the phone.
We have a dispatch center that set off the tones and off we go.
We have to be out the door in a minute or under in the daytime, 3 minutes at night.
No room for idle conversation.
It's just part of the job.

I wouldn’t answer the call. Unless my boss is a family member then it can mean an emergency. If it’s not a family member it means they’re calling me work related in on working hours. Not available zzzzzzz

Aside from the fact that I'm always awake at 2am; I turn my phone off when I go to bed.
