I have been going to college to learn graphic design sense the beginning of this month. I am doing really well, and I am having fun. I am learning everything I need to get a great job, but my roadblocks are some of my family members. They think I can't get a job from what I picked, and I feel like they want me to stay at my current job, but they were the ones who want me to get my own place and make more money or save my money. I feel like I have to really push myself to not listen to negative things they say and try to think I am going to get a great career after these classes. I need to do this for me and my future, not there's.

When you listen to these things ask yourself if you are taking advice from someone that has done it already, took risks, someone you can look up to and has reached the goals you are striving for or similar. Besides that, move silently without telling anyone about your plans unless they are part of them or you’ve reached your goal. Not because you want to keep them in the dark, but because the only person who can get in the way of your plans and mentality at that point is you.
